Tässä on
www.tiger-explorer.com sivustolta vastausta ongelmaan.
I got some good information today from my dealer in Lincoln.
Triumph have issued an information circular for dealers dated 27 September, which I have seen. They have finally acknowledged that there is a problem, but it does not affect the engine.
The problem is caused by the cam buckets rotating when the engine is operating at a certain temperature. Where the size of the cam bucket is at the lower end of tolerance, and the recess in the head is also at the lower end, there is sufficient room for the cam bucket to rotate. Voila, ticking noise down to microns of tolerance.
As much as I am relieved it is nothing that can damage the engine, I do think that having identified it, Triumph should do something to sort it out. Perhaps adjusting the cam bucket size and doing a free swap at the first service?
Anyway, it is not the cam chain or the exhaust gasket, but definitely the cam buckets.
