YAMAHA LUOVUTTI JENKEISSÄ!
Eli tiedoksenne: Yamaha on Yhdysvalloissa päättänyt vaihtaa ilmaiseksi kaikki mahdollisesti rikkinäiset TPS-osat, oli pyörässä ilmennyt vikaa tai ei. Vaihto koskee seuraavia mallisarjoja:

Jos teillä tulee Suomessa TPS-ongelmia, käyttäkää tätä tietoa hyväksenne!

YZF-R1 or FZ6 motorcycle shown on the label above. We thank you for purchasing this mo-torcycle
and hope that it is providing you with an enjoyable ownership experience.
Yamaha has determined that the Throttle Position Sensor (or “TPS”) on 2004 and some 2005
models may not function correctly. As a result, some owners have experienced an intermit-tently
unstable idle when the engine has reached operating temperature. The idle speed
might drop to 500 to 600 rpm, and the engine may stall if you do not give it throttle again.
To correct this unstable idle condition, Yamaha will replace the TPS on your motorcycle at no
cost to you for parts or labor, even if your motorcycle is out of warranty, and even if you have
never experienced this unstable idle condition.
To get the free TPS replacement, simply call your Yamaha motorcycle dealer and make an
appointment so he can be sure to have the parts in stock. The job takes a little less than
one and a half hours to perform, but your dealer may need to keep your motorcycle longer
depending upon his Service Department schedule.

PS. Yamahan arvio työn kestosta on 1,2 tuntia ja osa maksaa diilerille $70.99, tosin eihän diileri sitä loppupeleissä maksa vaan Yamaha, näin siis Jenkeissä.
